Our client is a Retirement Residence currently seeking to hire a Director of Care / Wellness for their facility.

As a Director of Wellness, you’ll develop a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience.
You will build relationships with residents and their family members, offering support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being.
As an individual and part of a team, you will contribute to the culture of the home, focusing on helping residents live fully, every day.
How You’ll Succeed:- Resident/Family Relations: Build relationships with residents and families to ensure personalized, choice-driven care and support.
- New Hire Support: Recruit, onboard, orient, and retain Wellness Team members.
- Partnerships: Create and maintain partnerships with site team members, regional team, and external stakeholders such as hospitals, community health professionals, and The Alzheimer’s Association.
- Accountability: Review audits, reports, dashboards, progress notes, assessments, and care plans to ensure compliance with standards and provincial regulations.
- Leadership: Oversee departments including Assessment, Incident, Quality, Risk, Human Resources, IPAC, and Memory Care Program (where applicable).
- Aiming to create memorable moments for residents and families.
- Committed to fostering a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all.
- Passionate about inspiring others to make a difference.
- Dedicated to providing high-quality services that promote health and happiness for seniors.
- Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Knowledgeable about provincial regulations and standards, including Memory Care requirements (if applicable).
- Hold current First Aid and HCP CPR certifications.

- You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or hold a valid work/study permit.
- You must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
