Management Accountant

Altum Consulting are recruiting for a part qualified/newly qualified Accountant to join an established media business in central London. This role will focus on overhead cost management across UK and US entities, playing a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and robust controls across the business. As part of a collaborative finance function, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, contributing to both day-to-day financial operations and strategic planning through budgeting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee overhead cost reporting for UK and US entities. Prepare and review accruals, prepayments, and general ledger postings relating to overheads. Monitor actual costs against budget and forecast, providing insightful variance analysis. Support the budgeting and forecasting cycle, working with senior leaders to ensure accurate and timely submissions. Partner with operational and senior stakeholders to challenge and control overhead spend.

Drive continuous improvement in processes, reporting, and controls. Contribute to adhoc analysis and projects as required by the business.

About You:

Part Qualified/Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Strong technical understanding of accruals, prepayments, and cost accounting. Strong excel skills Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Confident communicator, able to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
