London (Hybrid) Day Rate: £400 - £500 per day via umbrella We are recruiting for a Qualified Financial Accountant to join a fast-scaling Fintech operating in the global payments space on a 6-Month Contract. The candidate must be a Qualified Accountant and ideally with Financial Services experience (preferably Fintech/challenger bank or boutique FS firm) and experience producing Statutory Accounts

Key Responsibilities Review and oversee accounting entries prepared by offshore or local bookkeeping teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and intercompany positions Support monthly and annual close activities, ensuring reconciliations and schedules are complete and well-documented Prepare monthly management reporting and assist with statutory accounts under UK GAAP and relevant local standards Assist with indirect tax, payroll, and other regulatory filings, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met Act as a key contact for auditors, preparing audit packs and responding to queries Maintain and enhance internal controls across accounting processes Provide historical financial data to support budgeting and forecasting exercises Experience Required Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA) Candidates must be immediately available to start employment or on a max 2 weeks' notice Solid grounding in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and control environments Previous background in Audit (preferred).

Confident systems user; exposure to ERP platforms (Net Suite highly desirable) Awareness of international accounting standards and multi-entity reporting is an advantage Strong communicator able to work effectively across international teams Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving business We are happy to provide application and/or accessibility support, please contact your Marks Sattin or Grafton consultant directly to discuss your needs.
