Warehouse Lead (Receiving and Inventory)
Primary Duties:
- The Lead supports Shift Supervisor with the daily operation of the Receiving and Inventory Dept. Ensure that the inbound shipments and assignments are carried out by the receiving personnel. Ensure accuracy of current inventories and completion of cycle count to company expectations. This position requires leadership skills, receiving and inventory experience as well as strong computer skill, cherry picker operation and sit down forklift experience.
Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00am - 1:30pm (Mandatory overtime reports at 3:00am as needed)
Receiving:
- Responsible for receiving and shipping of automotive replacement safety glass products and supplies
- Utilize motorized equipment with on-board computers to ensure order accuracy and inventory control
- Acting as a replacement for any absence for any position required
- Ensuring inbound loads are accurately entered and put away in accordance with Operation standards
- Create Inventory Counts
- Release Inventory Counts
- Inventory completion twice annually
- Research Inventory Count Variances and other Inventory Discrepancies
- Ensure inventory accuracy and adjustments needed
- Maintain inventory files
General:
- Complies with all Company safety, quality, and operational requirements including adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles
- Acting as a replacement for any absence for any position required on shift
- Gathering information and making recommendations on matters involving Pilkington N.A. policies and procedures
- Run and create reports relating to inventory and production (reconciliation, overs and shorts, breakage, etc.)
- Assigning employees to job tasks
- Assisting with training of temporary and regular employees
- Assist with internal and external customer questions
- Perform non-operation tasks such as inventory audits, part checks, filing and maintaining receiving/shipping documents, schedules, etc.
- Safety and incident investigation/reporting
- Act as communications liaison between Dept. employees and shift supervisor
- Completes other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- 3-5 years prior experience in receiving, and Inventory of a fast-paced distribution facility
- Minimum of 1 year working Lead experience
- 2-3 years on recent Materials Handling Equipment experience (Cherry picker and sit-down forklift)
- Demonstrated advanced SAP or other Inventory Programs
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficient in the English language (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated advanced working knowledge of departmental safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Excellent attendance record
- Able to work both independently and as a team member
- Able to work off-shift hours, as needed
- Without assistance, must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighing anywhere from 1 lb. to 70 lbs.
- Able to work at heights of up to 30 feet
- Must be able to work in temperatures similar to outdoors within the Phoenix area
Qualifications Desired:
- 2-3 years of recent Reach Truck experience
- Knowledge of physical attributes of automotive glass and accessory parts
- Spanish fluency (speaking, reading and writing)
Hourly Pay:$21.00 - $23.00, based on experience
