Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Operation of light and heavy-duty equipment.
• Maintaining preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Maintaining a safe working environment
• Assisting skilled laborers & laborers when needed
• Fueling & maintain equipment
• Preparing trucks, and materials for the job
• Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines.
• Keeping trucks & equipment clean
• Does daily visual inspections & weekly written inspections when driving vehicles.
• Loading and unloading truck.
• Inspecting truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water and requesting repairs as needed.
• Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, inand stalling light bulbs and tire chains.
• Positioning blocks and tying rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
• Making sure all necessary documents are current and in the truck i.e. registration, inspection, and insurance cards.
• Following directions from crew leaders & supervisors.
• Hand digging and related jobs that require physical labor
• Manual labor- can handle heat & cold temperatures.
• Responsible for assisting with emergencies

Competent Person Training, Confined Space/Excavation/CPR Certification

The candidate must have a valid Driver's License, and be over the age of 21 to operate equipment or utilize a CDL within Primoris.
