Java and Kotlin Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Java and Kotlin Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ
. Candidates must have strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin while delivering high‑quality services through containerized environments and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $51/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Develop and maintain high‑quality backend services using Java, Kotlin, and supporting languages such as Python, Scala, or Node.js as needed.
• Own full software delivery—from design and development to testing, deployment, and production support—across both green‑field and brown‑field projects.
• Build scalable, resilient systems leveraging databases like MySQL, Mongo
  
  DB, Redis, and Postgres.
• Implement and optimize containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and GKE for efficient orchestration and deployment.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Sonar Qube to ensure code quality, automation, and continuous delivery.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, contribute to peer learning, and help maintain observability using Solr, Prometheus, and similar tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant professional software development experience (typically 4–8+ years depending on seniority level).
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Java and Kotlin as required by the client for backend service development.
• Proven experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud‑native environments (Kubernetes, Docker, GKE, Jenkins) as required by the client.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $51.00 per hour.
