Big Data Architect / Solutions Architect

Primary Skills

Expertise on Java/J2EE, hands‑on experience
Implemented and in‑depth knowledge of various Java/J2EE/EAI patterns using Open Source products
Design/Architected and implemented complex projects dealing with considerable data size (GB/PB) and high complexity
Sound knowledge of architectural concepts (Multi‑tenancy, SOA, SCA) and capable of identifying and incorporating NFRs (performance, scalability, monitoring)
Good in database principles, SQL, and experience with large databases (Oracle/MySQL/DB2)
Sound knowledge of clustered deployment architecture; able to provide deployment solutions based on customer needs
Sound knowledge of hardware (CPU, memory, disk, network, firewalls)
Experience with open‑source products and contributions to them
Capable of working as an individual contributor and within a team
Experience in ODC model and ability to present design and architecture to CTOs, CEOs onsite
Experience/knowledge of batch processing / real‑time systems using Open Source technologies (Solr, Hadoop, No

SQL DBs, Storm, Kafka, etc.)

Anticipate technological evolutions
Coach the technical team in development of the technical architecture
Ensure technical directions and choices
Design/architect/implement various solutions arising out of large data processing (GBs/PBs) over No

SQL, Hadoop and MPP‑based products
Drive architecture and design calls with big data customers
Work with offshore team and provide guidance on implementation details
Conduct sessions, write whitepapers, case studies pertaining to Big Data
Responsible for timely and quality deliveries
Fulfill organization responsibilities—sharing knowledge and experience within other groups, conducting technical sessions and trainings

Big Data Consultant

Primary Skills

Very strong server‑side Java experience, especially in open‑source, data‑intensive, distributed environments

Experience with open‑source products and contributions (advantage)

Implemented and deep knowledge of various Java, J2EE, and EAI patterns

Implemented complex projects dealing with substantial data size (GB/PB) and high complexity

Well aware of architectural concepts (Multi‑tenancy, SOA, SCA) and NFRs (performance, scalability, monitoring)

Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization techniques

Knowledge of database principles, SQL, and experience with large databases

Exposure to complete SDLC and PDLC

Capable of working as an individual contributor and within a team

Self‑starter & resourceful personality with ability to manage pressure situations
