Senior Software Engineer

$125,000 – $140,000 BASE + BONUS + BENEFITS
The Opportunity

We’re partnering with a large, well-established national company in the single-family rental space to hire a Senior Backend Engineer to help modernize and scale their cloud platform.

This role sits at the center of a fast-moving engineering organization responsible for powering customer-facing applications (leasing, payments, maintenance) and internal operational systems. You’ll design and build scalable, cloud-native backend services that directly impact thousands of users nationwide.

This is a hands-on senior IC role.

Their engineering team operates in a high-velocity, Agile environment focused on:

• Cloud-first architecture
• Modern Dev Ops practices
• Platform modernization and refactoring legacy system

• Design and build scalable, cloud-native microservices and REST APIs on AWS
• Architect and optimize data storage solutions (Mongo
  
  DB, SQL, key-value stores)
• Containerize and deploy services using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Refactor and modernize legacy systems into efficient microservices architecture
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ship high-quality releases in a fast-paced, build-and-deploy environment

• 6–8+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Node.js and Type Script expertise
• Proven ability to design and scale microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems
• Hands‑on AWS experience (serverless and cloud-native architecture)
• Strong database skills across SQL and No

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines in Agile development settings
