Developer, Software Engineer, Software Development

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ
. The ideal candidate must have strong Spark expertise to design and optimize big‑data pipelines while independently developing, testing, and deploying end‑to‑end features.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $47/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Design, develop, and maintain large scale data processing pipelines using Spark, Java, Spring Boot, and distributed data technologies.
• Deliver end to end software solutions, owning features from inception to production across both greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Optimize and troubleshoot data workflows, Spark jobs, and backend services, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.

  SQL/datastore technologies (e.g., Cassandra) to build and refine data models, storage layers, and high throughput data access patterns.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to refine requirements, enhance platform architecture, and mentor junior engineers.
• Implement automated testing, deployment, and monitoring, ensuring high quality code, stability in production, and continuous improvement of the system.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6–9 years of professional experience in Java, Big Data, and distributed systems development.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Apache Spark (3+ years) along with Java, Spring Boot, and Big Data frameworks; ability to independently build, test, optimize, and deploy data‑intensive applications.

  SQL databases (e.g., Cassandra) with strong troubleshooting skills, end‑to‑end delivery capability, and applied understanding of statistical concepts for data processing.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $47.00 per hour
