Platform Engineer

We are looking for an experienced AI Platform Engineer to help design, build, and operate a production‑grade, multi‑cloud platform that enables teams to develop, deploy, and manage AI agents s role focuses on building core services, agent runtimes, and developer frameworks with a strong emphasis on scalability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

• Design, build, and maintain core backend services and Python SDKs that enable teams to develop, test, and deploy AI agents and workflows.
• Engineer and operate a scalable, reliable agent runtime responsible for orchestration, state management, and execution of AI agents in production.
• Build secure and governed frameworks for AI agent tool usage, including safe execution, access control, and monitoring of external integrations.
• Manage and optimize the AI model serving layer, including model deployment, routing, and performance/cost optimization for inference workloads.
• Implement observability, evaluation, and testing frameworks for AI systems, and own services throughout the full production lifecycle (CI/CD, SLOs, monitoring, and on–call support).

• 8+ years of experience in backend, platform engineering, or MLOps, with proven success building and operating complex systems at scale.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience developing platforms or applications powered by AI/ML models, including LLM‑based systems.
• Expert‑level Python skills with strong experience in API design, software architecture, and building maintainable developer‑facing SDKs.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), including Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Proven experience operating production SaaS systems, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring/observability, and incident response.

This role is hybrid in Phoenix, so candidates must be local to the area and willing to come on site.
