Overview

Devereux Arizona’s Community Based Services are designed to provide rapid, intensive, in-home support in the critical days/weeks following a crisis. Services include in-home support, crisis and safety planning, family support and coaching, behavior management, and coordinating with community supports. We are looking for individuals with experience in behavioral health, with families and at-risk youth, to be a positive role model and have an impact on our families.

Responsibilities
  • Work one-to-one with youth ages 2-17 in natural settings (home, school, group home, foster care, or kinship placement).
  • Manage a caseload of 3-5 individuals and teach essential life and emotional regulation skills, behavior reduction, anger management, coping with trauma-related behaviors, and communication techniques to help youth succeed at home, in school, and in the community.
  • Collaborate with the Child/Family Team, conduct intakes, perform case management, and maintain documentation/charting.
  • Other job duties as assigned to support crisis and community-based services.
Pay and Schedule

Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.10 / hr

Full Time and Part Time Schedules: Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday; ability to work afternoons/nights (as late as 8:30pm).

Ability to commute throughout Maricopa County using your own vehicle (with mileage reimbursement); extra coverage needed for the West Valley and East Valley/Mesa areas.

Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalency;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Options based on education and experience include:

  • High school diploma or equivalency plus at least four (4) years of full-time behavioral health work experience; OR
  • A combination of education in a field related to behavioral health and full-time behavioral health work experience totaling at least two (2) years; OR
  • An Associate’s degree with at least two (2) years of full-time behavioral health work experience; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree with at least one (1) year of full-time behavioral health work experience.
  • Ability to commute throughout Maricopa County using your own vehicle (with mileage reimbursement); extra coverage needed for the West Valley and East Valley/Mesa areas.

Other Requirements
  • Must be available to attend two (2) weeks of new hire orientation (paid, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm) plus 2-3 weeks of on-the-job training.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards).

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check.

  • Drug test within 24 hours of offer with negative results.

  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment.

  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions).

  • For more information, refer to Arizona Revised Statutes Notice (ARS 36-411) and related fingerprinting requirements. If a person’s employment record contains a six-month or longer time frame without employment, a new fingerprint submission is required.
