Transdev in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Level 1 Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. The Diesel Mechanic role supports safety, efficiency, and longevity of our fleet.

• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to an efficient workflow.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Other duties as required.

• 1 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided.
• Mechanic’s Tool Set.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods; frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access files or equipment stored at ground level.
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
