Description

Installation of DAS Equipment:

  • Installation of DAS Components:
    Install and configure RFS and JMA Wireless DAS components such as antennas, cables, remote units (RUs), base station controllers (BSC), and other related hardware.
  • Cable Routing:
    Run and secure coaxial, fiber optic, and other cables through ceilings, walls, and conduits to connect DAS components.
  • Antenna Installation:
    Install antennas at required locations (e.g., rooftops, inside ceilings) ensuring proper alignment and performance.
  • Equipment Mounting:
    Mount and secure various DAS equipment on racks or other hardware.

System Integration:

  • System Wiring and Connections:
    Ensure all components (e.g., base stations, repeaters, antennas, remote units) are properly wired and connected to the network.
  • Power Supply Installation:
    Install power systems and backup power solutions (e.g., batteries, generators) for DAS components.
  • Grounding and Safety:
    Implement grounding and safety measures for all installed equipment as per industry standards.

Testing and Commissioning:

  • Initial Testing:
    Test the system after installation to ensure that all components are functioning as expected, including signal strength, connectivity, and performance.
  • Walk Testing:
    Perform walk tests within the coverage area to verify signal coverage and performance. Identify any gaps or issues and troubleshoot.
  • Documentation of Results:
    Record results from installation, testing, and commissioning activities. Document any deviations from the planned design and report them to the project manager or design team.

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

  • Address Installation Issues:
    Identify and resolve any installation issues, such as poor cable connections, equipment malfunctions, or interference.
  • On-Site Repairs:
    Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment during installation or post-installation to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Collaboration with RF Engineers:
    Work closely with RF engineers to address issues related to RF performance or signal coverage.

Safety Compliance and Standards Adherence:

  • Adherence to Safety Protocols:
    Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and local regulations. Follow all safety protocols related to working at heights, electrical systems, and working with RF equipment.
  • Proper Equipment Handling:
    Handle all DAS components, tools, and equipment according to manufacturer guidelines to prevent damage and ensure safe operation.

Ongoing Maintenance and Support:

  • Routine Inspections:
    Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of installed systems to ensure long‑term performance.
  • Service and Repairs:
    Address any service requests or maintenance needs, including equipment upgrades or replacement.
  • Customer Support:
    Provide technical support to clients as needed, offering assistance with troubleshooting or minor repairs.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Team

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with the project manager, engineers, and other installers to ensure project timelines are met and installations are completed to specification.
  • Client Communication:
    Interact with clients on‑site to ensure satisfaction and provide updates as necessary.
  • Reporting:
    Provide detailed reports on installation status, issues encountered, and troubleshooting steps.
