Overview
The Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak is looking for a full-time Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on the upkeep and repair of the resort, with emphasis on electrical maintenance.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair building exterior HVAC rooftop units, boilers/chillers, public areas, fitness center, kitchens, and guest rooms.
- Focus on maintaining electrical systems; assemble, install, test, and repair electrical equipment using hand and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, locate faults, and correct problems; inspect electrical systems for hazards and ensure code compliance.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring based on job specifications and local codes; prepare sketches or follow blueprints.
- Install and connect power cables to equipment; perform wiring repairs and fixture installations; work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs as needed.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime; keep equipment in good repair and provide day-to-day maintenance.
- Respond to guest room calls and resolve issues with effective communication and service-oriented approach.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and electrical systems, replace filters, and monitor fire alarm/life safety systems; respond to emergencies and protect guests and team members.
- Maintain safety by adhering to departmental safety analyses, creating a safe work environment, and correcting hazards promptly.
- Provide training and share knowledge with team members to support development.
- Other duties as assigned; responsibilities may change with or without notice.
- Must be able to communicate in English; strong guest service orientation and teamwork.
- Ability to climb, read, stand, walk, and lift 25–50 lbs; capable of following instructions and reporting progress.
