• Locate and track the drill head using electronic locating equipment to guide HDD operations
• Interpret bore plans, utility maps, and depth requirements to ensure accurate installation
• Communicate real-time depth, pitch, and direction adjustments to the drill operator
• Identify and avoid existing underground utilities in accordance with one-call and safety procedures
• Monitor drilling conditions and alert the crew to potential risks or deviations
• Assist with job-site setup, potholing, and verification of utility locations
• Maintain accurate records of bore paths, depths, and as-built information
• Follow all company, OSHA, and job-site safety policies

• Experience locating for HDD operations, preferably in telecommunications
• Proficiency with locating systems and HDD guidance equipment
• Strong understanding of underground utility practices and damage prevention
• Ability to read and interpret bore profiles and construction plans
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and job-site conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Exposure to outdoor environments, noise, and construction-related hazards
• Use of required PPE at all times
• Must be willing to work overtime as dictated by workload volumes
