Maintenance Mechanic
Join Schuff Steel as a Maintenance Mechanic. This role is critical to the production process, performing necessary repairs and maintenance on heavy fabrication equipment within the facility.

Core Responsibilities- Repair and maintain shop machines and equipment
- Analyze problems with various equipment and machines
- Recommend cost‑effective solutions
- Maintain motors, controls, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment
- Work with minimal supervision
- Perform repairs at heights, where required
- Keep work area organized and clean
- Adhere to safety rules and PPE requirements
High school diploma or GED, and 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Knowledge, Certifications & Licenses- Knowledge of various shop hand tools and maintenance repair equipment
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and repair orders
- Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and application of basic math concepts
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense and problem‑solving skills in written, oral, or diagrammatic form; learn quickly
