Level 2 Technician will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing trucks, trailers and diesel engines, suspension and electrical systems.
Essential Job FunctionsWill be able to inspect, identify, diagnose, & repair/replace the following items, unsupervised:
- Lighting/Electrical, batteries, brakes (including air system), steering components, suspension, wheel ends and hubs (including seals), fifth wheel components, drive train and all other vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
- Lighting/Electrical, brakes (including air system), wheel ends and hubs (including seals), doors, & all door components, roof, roof bows flooring all chassis components and abs systems
Lubricate truck and trailer chassis components, change fuel and oil filters. Replace engine oil with new and perform coolant flushes.
TiresReplace tire and rim on trucks. Mount and dismount tires from steel and aluminum rims.
Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle repair requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Other duties may be assigned by Shop Manager.
