Full benefits available after 30 days of employment. Full-time, direct hire position. This project is located on the 303 freeway I-17 freeway (North Phoenix area).
Job Summary:
Responsible for reading blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including location, quantities, and sizes of materials required. Identify all tools required for tasks and identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using such tools as rulers and conduit benders, Chicago Benders, Dual trigger bandsaws.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure will build closets (mount and install backboards). Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure observes functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure fabricates and installs rigid & aluminum, E.M.T., plasti-bond, and P.V.C. conduit.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure uses mechanical and hydraulic benders (1 1/2” - 4”); fabricates and installs conduit supports.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure installs various types of raceway and cable tray systems.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure assumes responsibility for effective performance of crew and provides necessary training, coordinates personnel and timeline to complete project.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure completes all IES paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required).
- The Technician I - Infrastructure adheres to and participates in all Company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure completes other responsibilities as assigned.
Salary: USD $18.00/Hr. to USD $22.00/Hr.
Qualifications Physical and Mental Requirements- The Technician I - Infrastructure must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvements.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure must be accustomed to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure must promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure must act as the company liaison for interface with customer representatives.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentations.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure must be able to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
- The Technician I - Infrastructure must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
- Regular attendance is mandatory.
- Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Must possess a minimum of zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in an electrician or related technical field and demonstrate the ability to supervise others.
- Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools.
- Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
- Must know the universal communications color codes.
- Must meet company minimum driving standards.
