Overview

We need dedicated and reliable solar mechanical installers in Maricopa County to join our team as we construct commercial and industrial solar projects across Arizona. We’ve recently been awarded a major long-term contract that will run through 2028, and we’re expanding our field crews accordingly.

The opportunity

As a solar mechanical Installer, you will play a crucial role in the successful deployment of solar energy generation systems by assembling racking systems, installing solar panels, and supporting equipment management. This position reports to the mechanical foreman and requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Your day to day
  • Assist in the assembly and installation of racking systems and solar panels, ensuring all components are accurately positioned and securely fastened.
  • Work closely with the mechanical foreman and fellow technicians to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and according to project specifications.
  • Manage and transport tools and materials to and from the job site, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Keep laydown and work areas clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Address and resolve minor issues that may arise during installation, escalating more complex problems to the mechanical foreman as needed.
  • Participate in on-the-job training to enhance your skills and knowledge related to solar installations and safety best practices.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in construction or a related field required; solar experience preferred.
  • Available to work 5 am to 1 pm, Monday - Friday.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and one to three stories above ground.
  • Use hand and power tools safely; basic understanding of electrical systems helpful.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to following safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ability to read written instructions in English.
