Job Title:

Quality and Repair Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality and Repair Technician who will perform quality checks and full functionality tests on systems. This role involves supervising and performing all necessary tests, scheduling preventative maintenance, and providing documentation. Additionally, the technician will repair, troubleshoot, modify, and test fare collection equipment, ensuring all work is meticulously documented and reported.

Responsibilities
  • Perform quality checks and full functionality tests on all systems.
  • Supervise and/or perform all tests required by contract.
  • Schedule and/or perform preventative maintenance work.
  • Provide documentation and logs of all preventative work.
  • Repair subassemblies at a workbench.
  • Schedule maintenance work and track defective parts, shipments, and repairs.
  • Perform upgrades on equipment and prepare repair reports.
  • Provide extensive quality support during all phases of device testing.
  • Install fare collection systems, including system hardware, electrical connections, and sub-assemblies.
  • Set up equipment and components, perform inspections of installations, and provide support both pre-installation and post-installation.
  • Provide warranty and post-warranty support.
  • Manage, monitor, and control all inventory, shipping, receiving, packaging, and warehouse activities.
  • Enter appropriate information into software accurately.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage and compare receipt against purchase orders.
  • Document, tag, and ship materials in adherence to sales orders or miscellaneous shippers.
Essential Skills
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a technical field involving service, maintenance, repair, install, or large assembly.
  • Strong familiarity with tools.
  • Ability to follow schematics and blueprints.
  • Clean Driver’s License (subject to MVD check).
  • Ability to maintain composure in pressure situations.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to lift/move 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Capability to stand, squat, bend, reach, kneel, twist, push, and pull.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Repetitive hand use (keyboard, scanner, grasping, applying force).
  • Willingness to travel to Utah, Pennsylvania, and New York infrequently.

Work Environment

The position is based in a small company environment with less than 10 employees in Arizona. The successful candidate will work within a manufacturer of parking, access systems, and fare collection systems. The job requires working on a 3rd shift, with training on day or 2nd shift for 4-6 weeks. The work attire includes comfortable closed-toed shoes and a company-provided polo.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
