UIS is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction company. We provide fully integrated design-build services to our clients in the high-technology industry for their manufacturing facility needs. Our scope of services includes engineering design, high-tech factory planning, and on-time equipment and material delivery in which clean-room systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and tool hook-up, are all vital parts in need of total coordination.

Summary

United Integrated Services (USA) is seeking a Pipefitter/Welder to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, and maintaining the piping systems in a cleanroom. You will support all areas of piping needs.


** This is a full-time onsite position located in North Phoenix, AZ **

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications to understand piping layout.
  • Understand building plans, schedule, working drawings, 3D models, benchmarks, and ISOs to determine work required and installation sequence.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, supports, and related equipment for HVAC and other systems.
  • Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using tools and machinery.
  • Ensure systems are installed according to safety standards and applicable codes.
  • Use power tools, pipe cutter, benders, welding machines, etc., to complete tasks.
  • Perform quality control checks and adjustments as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Education / Experience
  • High school diploma/GED or above.
  • Ability to attend and pass a third-party welding test (PNL - Phoenix National Laboratories).
  • 4-5+ years of experience as a pipefitter in construction industry.
  • OSHA 10 certificate required.
  • Completed apprenticeship program or relevant certification, a plus.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong understanding of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents.
  • Proficient in the use of piping tools and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail, and highly organized.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and employees.
  • Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Nice to have
  • OSHA 30 certificate.
Additional Requirements
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for transporting documents, equipment, and other materials as needed. The role involves extended periods standing, walking and/or of sitting while working at a computer. Frequent movement between the construction trailer and various areas of the construction site is necessary.

The position is based at the construction job site (trailer office). Even though the exposure of hazardous work conditions would be minimal, the employee may be required to visit the work area of the jobsite and thus be exposed to some typical work hazards that may be present on a construction site, such as dust, moving machineries, weather, caustic chemicals, noise etc.

UIS would provide the required safety protection to ensure the safety of UIS employees and comply with all OSHA standards.
