As part of our new in-house services team
, the Handyman will perform a wide range of general maintenance and repair services for properties managed by Desert Dimensions Properties.

This role focuses on breadth over depth
, handling common household repairs, improving turnaround times, and supporting the property management team through consistent communication, quality workmanship, and reliable follow-through.

• Complete general maintenance and repair tasks, including:
  • Drywall patching and texturing
  • Painting and touch-ups
  • Minor plumbing repairs, including faucets, traps, toilets, and small leaks
  • Minor electrical repairs, such as switches, outlets, and light fixtures
  • Basic carpentry and door or lock repairs
  • Appliance troubleshooting (non-specialty)
  • Caulking, hardware installation, weatherstripping, screen repairs, and similar tasks
• Work from App Folio work orders with clear job notes and required photos
• Prioritize scheduled work while remaining flexible for urgent or same-day repair needs
• Communicate job status, estimates, and material needs clearly with supervisors and team members
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work habits at all job sites
• Use and maintain personal tools appropriate for basic handyman tasks (specialty tools provided as needed)
• Identify when a repair requires a licensed tradesperson, including HVAC, roofing, gas, or advanced plumbing or electrical work
• Represent Desert Dimensions Properties professionally with Tenants, Owners, and Clients

• Three or more years of residential handyman or general maintenance experience preferred
• Strong skill set across multiple basic trades, with emphasis on versatility
• Reliable transportation and a valid Arizona driver’s license
• Ability to troubleshoot efficiently and communicate clearly
• Strong documentation skills, including photo logs, notes, and updates through App Folio
• Ability to work independently and manage a variable daily workload
• Background check
• Motor vehicle record check
• Drug screening

• Regular standing, bending, climbing ladders, and use of hand tools
• Ability to lift and maneuver common household fixtures and materials
• Combination of indoor and outdoor work across Maricopa County
• Full-time, W-2 position
• Daytime schedule, Monday through Friday
• Occasional reprioritization required to address urgent repair needs
• Compensation based on experience, with mileage reimbursement provided
