* Job Summary:

* An industrial electrician installs, maintains and repairs industrial electrical and mechanical equipment. This equipment may include fixtures, wiring, pumps, heavy-duty machinery and electrical systems. These professionals most commonly work in commercial or industrial buildings but can also work in other settings. Industrial electricians frequently work in the maintenance and construction industries.

* Duties and responsibilities:

*
* + Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)

+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams

+ Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs

+ Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance

+ Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget

+ Renovate and build electrical systems as needed

+ Install and program logic controllers for automated equipment

+ Programming logic controllers for automation

+ Oversee the maintenance of power supply and distribution (high and low voltage systems, distribution systems, and ancillary equipment within the department's jurisdiction

+ Adhere to all JA Solar and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds

+ Meet or exceed company safety standards

+ Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management

* Qualifications:

*
* + 4 years of Industrial electricians experience with frequent work in the maintenance and construction industries.

+ Bachelor's degree preferred

** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* + Knowledgeable in pertinent electrical codes and regulations

+ Able to understand schematics and other technical documents

+ Must be able to handle physically-demanding tasks

+ Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role - In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and components

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams

+ Strong troubleshooting skills

+ Familiarity with low voltage systems

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

+ Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

+ Electrical system installation, maintenance, and repair

+ Blueprint reading and interpretation

+ Troubleshooting electrical issues

+ Renovation and construction of electrical systems

+ Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
