Designs and erects various types of scaffolds. The Lead Carpenter mentors and coaches the Scaffold E&D Carpenters to aid in their development, and works closely with tools.

• Design and erect various types of scaffolds.
• Manage a small crew to erect and dismantle scaffolding under the supervision of an E&D Foreman.
• Mentor and coach Scaffold E&D Carpenters to support their professional development.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Assess loading capacities and material suitability to avoid excessive loads.

• Some trade school preferred but not required.
• Minimum 2 years as a Scaffold E&D Carpenter or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work comfortably and safely at considerable heights.
• Bilingualism is a plus.

• Expert knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations related to scaffolding.
• Strong understanding of various scaffolding materials and their load limitations.
• Ability to safely manage a crew and lead scaffold installation and dismantlement.
• Proficiency in using a variety of scaffolding materials and tools.

The role requires frequent bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 40 pounds or more, and working both indoors and outdoors. The above description is not a complete listing of all duties and reasonable accommodations may be provided.
