Construction – Welders/Ironworkers Needed
MMI is an industrial contractor and steel fabricating company based in Mesa, Arizona. MMI has been in business since 1974 and continues to grow each year. We’re very proud of the more than 200 loyal members of our team and are looking for individuals to contribute at a very high level.
MMI is looking to hire experienced ironworkers who have at least 3 years of experience in iron working and welding. Ironworkers are involved in raising, positioning, aligning, and connecting steel girders, columns, beams and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks. Most of our work is in the Phoenix metro area with some travel for those interested in out of state travel.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Pay range: $22.00 to $30.00 depending on experience

(Potential compensation calculation: $57,000 - $78,000 including overtime. Overtime average is 10 hours per week dependent on workload)

Responsibilities:
- Must be able to read, understand and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Layout, bolt up, connecting and erecting structural steel
- Installation of steel stairs and railings, fences, gates and other misc. metals
- Follow company and jobsite safety guidelines, procedures and policies
- Knowledge and use of crane hoisting, rigging and signaling (certifications a plus)
- Welding, torch cutting, arc gouging, grinding
- Must be certified or able to pass a 3G and 4G weld test (SMAW and FCAW)
- Operate equipment (scissor lifts, boom lifts, reach forklifts, warehouse forklifts etc.)
- Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
- Have own tools
Ironworkers must be physically able to:
- Lift and carry objects weighing more than 50 lbs.
- Stoop, kneel, crawl, lay, bend, squat, stand and walk for long periods of time
- Climb and maintain body balance on ladders, scaffolding or high structures (may exceed 100ft)
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
