Position: Carpenter II | Mortenson

Primary Purpose Of Position

Responsible for the installation of concrete foundations and formed concrete walls.

Key Result Areas (essential Functions)
  • Study plans and sketches for information pertaining to type of material required such as lumber and concrete form systems.
  • Hand‑set forms and/or assemble the gang forms.
  • Shoot grades and elevations.
  • Unload, handle, stockpile, and erect pre‑fabricated materials.
  • Concrete and rough carpentry.
  • Hand Set Plywood Formed Walls.
  • Install Plywood Footing Forms.
  • Assemble and Set Symons Forms.
  • Fabricate and Install Concrete Edge Form / Decking Blockouts / Hanging Sides.
  • Assemble and Set Gang Wall Forms.
  • Rig and Signal Crane and Forklift Operators.
  • Install Form Scaffold.
  • Climb Gang Form Walls and Climb Reinforcing Steel.
  • Install Concrete Wall Embeds, Blockouts, Bulkheads.
  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to picture solid objects from drawings or diagrams.

Education And Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience as a carpenter.
  • Trade or technical school certification/diploma is a plus.
