HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
The Building Engineer plays a vital role in keeping facilities safe, efficient, and fully operational. In this hands-on position, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and performance of building systems—including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components—ensuring a comfortable and reliable environment for all occupants. You’ll respond quickly to service needs, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Working closely with property management and vendors, you’ll help plan improvements, maintain compliance with safety standards, and support the overall functionality of the facility. This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who enjoys technical work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and is committed to maintaining high-quality building operations.
Hourly Pay Rate: $25.96 - $38.29
Job Qualifications EducationHigh school diploma or GED required.
Specialized TrainingMust have a certification for refrigerant recovery (EPA Universal Certification)
Certification/licensureMust possess avalid Arizona driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesRequires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
Must have a creativity, initiative and independent thinking, and problem-solving skills are strongly preferred.
Must have working knowledge of fire protection codes, plumbing and other building systems codes, OSHA requirements, and knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures.
Must have working knowledge preventative maintenance and work order software systems
Great customer service and communication skills
Must have willingness and aptitudes to work effectively with others within the formal or informal structure of teams or groups
Must have inner motivation and confidence to achieve successful results
