Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join the LLR Electric team and support ongoing field operations. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing electrical distribution systems and associated equipment across a wide range of project environments. The ideal candidate is dependable, licensed, safety‑minded, and committed to delivering high‑quality work that reflects LLR Electric's standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer installation manuals
- Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
- Bend pipe and perform conduit installation (EMT, rigid, flex)
- Understand and perform basic electrical wiring and terminations
- Remain in full compliance with all current National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot components including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gear
- Ensure all work meets safety requirements, project specifications, and company quality expectations
- Maintain clean and organized work areas; uphold LLR Electric's safety culture
- Collaborate with foremen, apprentices, and project teams to meet project timelines
Required Qualifications:
- MUST be over the age of 18
- MUST have a valid Journeyman Electrician License – [State]
- MUST have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- MUST have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
- MUST be a U.S. Citizen or possess a valid work permit
- MUST have a felony‑free background
- MUST be drug‑free before and during employment
- MUST maintain a neat and professional appearance on all job sites
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, and/or agricultural electrical environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with modern diagnostic tools
- Ability to mentor and guide apprentices
- Knowledge of job‑site safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and OSHA requirements
