MMI is an industrial contractor and steel fabricating company based in Mesa, Arizona. MMI has been in business since 1974 and continues to grow each year. We’re very proud of the more than 200 loyal members of our team and are looking for individuals to contribute at a very high level.
MMI is looking to hire a crane technician who has the following qualifications.
- 3-5 years’ experience as an overhead crane technician
- A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance and/or equivalent military experience
- Must have 480
VAC 3 phase experience - Knowledge with electrical controls and VFDs
- Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments as well as familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
- Ability to work heights
- The crane technician must possess excellent communication and writing skills
- Must have a valid state issued driver’s license

Responsibilities:
- Inspecting equipment to ensure it is in good working order
- Performing regular maintenance and inspections of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment
- Installing new cranes and other lifting equipment, wiring and troubleshooting
- Review records of work performed on equipment to track service history and detect any potential problems before they occur
- Inspecting crane components for signs of wear or damage in order to identify possible causes of accidents
- Performing routine maintenance on cranes and replacing parts as needed
Crane technician must be physically able to:
- Lift and carry objects weighing more than 50 lbs.
- Stoop, kneel, crawl, lay, bend, squat for long periods of time
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
