The Phoenix Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) and hands‑on training in various trades such as Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Security and Protective Services, Cement and Masonry, Carpentry, and more.

Position

Duties
  • Assist the Safety & Security Department in maintaining a safe and secure center environment.
  • Ensure center compliance with PRH and OSHA safety and health requirements.
  • Comply with DOL/Company reporting requirements.
  • Participate in the student and staff safety awards program.
  • Compile, analyze, and summarize safety/security data and take appropriate action to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Coordinate staff coverage to ensure student areas are supervised.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to rest and meal break requirements.
  • Conduct and document center‑wide safety and accident prevention training.
  • Conduct and document incident and accident investigations per established timelines and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all PRH and other DOL, Job Corps, and company safety directives and requirements.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and assessments of all center equipment and facilities to identify potential safety and security hazards.
  • Be responsible for center security, visitor control, and student accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with the center's Environmental Health Program.
  • Produce quality work and assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and productivity standards.
  • Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
  • Understand and apply job knowledge to effectively complete all tasks.
  • Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by PRH.
  • Provide operational support for center operations to ensure quality programs and services; pursue improvements in center operations to fulfill program objectives.
  • Exchange ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner; contribute meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge.
  • Effectively articulate thoughts and ideas; identify problems, analyze causes, evaluate appropriate solutions, and follow up to ensure problems are corrected.
  • Work in partnership with staff from all departments to ensure effective supervision and services for students.
  • Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director, Center Duty Officer, or Shift Manager and include assignments to temporarily perform responsibilities of other departments and positions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in military, law enforcement or security required.
  • Must possess a valid in‑state driver's license and meet company insurability requirements.
