Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders at a government location;
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment;
Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and radios, and assist with controlled entry, visitor check-in, and badge and/or key control as directed by site policy;
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, medical response notifications, and coordinating with site leadership and public emergency services as needed;
Complete security-related reports and activity logs, document incidents accurately, and communicate observations and/or hazards to site representatives while maintaining confidentiality requirements
