Our client is a leading global provider of inverters used in utility-scale and commercial PV and BESS projects. Their solutions are enabling the clean energy transition by delivering high-performance, reliable products that maximize energy production and system efficiency.
The C&I Sales Manager, Inverters will own sales and account management for C&I inverter projects, including rooftop and ground-mount installations. Reporting to the U.S. Country Manager, this role blends technical knowledge with commercial acumen, focusing on driving growth through EPCs, developers, installers, and channel partners in the C&I market.
What You’ll Do- Lead the full sales lifecycle for C&I inverter projects: opportunity identification, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of EPCs, installers, developers, and channel partners, providing guidance on product selection, system design, and commercial alignment.
- Partner with internal Engineering, Service, and Operations teams to ensure technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and seamless project execution.
- Track and analyze market trends, competitive activity, and pricing dynamics to inform strategy and product positioning.
- Collaborate across functions, including Utility Sales, Marketing, and Product Management, to develop campaigns, tools, and go-to-market strategies for the C&I segment.
- Operate independently in a growth-stage environment, taking initiative to optimize processes, engagement models, and sales strategies.
- At least 5–8+ years of proven experience selling in the commercial and industrial (C&I) solar market.
- Demonstrated success selling through Channel Partners, EPCs, and Installers, building lasting relationships and strategic partnerships to expand market presence.
- Deep understanding of C&I inverter systems, balance-of-system (BOS) components, and interconnection requirements, enabling tailored solutions for complex projects.
- Skilled at managing multiple sales opportunities simultaneously, prioritizing effectively, and closing deals efficiently in fast-moving sales cycles.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and negotiation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels and delivering compelling presentations.
- Proficient with CRM platforms such as Zoho, Salesforce, or similar tools, using data-driven insights to manage pipelines and drive sales performance.
- Salary Range: $120,000 – $135,000 base salary + commission
