The Utility Sales Manager, Inverterswill drive new business development and account growth for utility‑scale inverter projects, including greenfield installations and repowering opportunities. Reporting to the Country Manager, this role requires a hands‑on sales leader capable of managing complex accounts, navigating long sales cycles, and building trusted relationships with customers in a dynamic, growth‑focused environment.
What You’ll Do- Manage a portfolio of utility customers, identifying opportunities in new inverter installations and repowering projects.
- Develop and execute account plans aligned with customer pipelines and asset portfolios.
- Lead the full sales process from opportunity qualification through contract negotiation and closure.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations to prepare proposals, pricing, and technical‑commercial documentation.
- Partner with internal teams, Engineering, Service, and Operations, to ensure technical feasibility and seamless project execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, engaging in meetings, site visits, and technical‑commercial discussions.
- Identify repowering opportunities based on equipment lifecycle, performance, or reliability challenges, leveraging insights from installed base data.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes, tools, and documentation in a fast‑paced growth environment.
- 5+ years of experience selling to utility scale Developers, EPCs, and IPPs – Inverter experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to drive success in long‑cycle capital equipment sales.
- Background in repowering or retrofit projects is strongly desired.
- Excellent skills in organization, communication, and negotiation.
- Experienced with CRM platforms, including Salesforce or Zoho.
- Salary Range: $120,000 – $145,000 base salary + commission
