Outside Solar Sales Consultant (Experienced Only) Capital Energy About Capital EnergyCapital Energy is one of the fastest-growing solar and storage installers in the Southwest. The RoleThis position is designed for experienced solar consultants who can confidently run appointments, manage the full sales cycle, and close.
Responsibilities- Run retail solar appointments (self-generated and/or company provided)
- Conduct in-home or virtual consultations end-to-end
- Present solar + battery solutions clearly and ethically
- Structure deals accurately with multiple financing options (TPO, lease, loan)
- Set proper customer expectations and hand off clean installs
- Use CRM and sales tools to manage pipeline and follow-ups
- Stay sharp on utility policy, rate changes, and market shifts
This is not an entry-level role. You should already know how to sell solar.
Requirements (Read Carefully)- 1+ years of documented solar sales experience required
- Comfortable closing homeowners face-to-face
- Solid understanding of:
- Solar system sizing & offsets
- Utility billing (APS / SRP preferred)
- Financing structures (lease, PPA, loans)
- Ability to self-generate leads and manage your own book
- Strong communication, professionalism, and follow-through
- CRM experience required (Podio, Solo, Salesforce, or similar platform)
If you are brand new to solar, this role is not a fit.
