The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for identifying and creating new qualified opportunities for their Account Executive partners. This role manages outbound campaigns by qualifying active buying interest and identifying key decision-makers to position the Zip Recruiter value proposition effectively. SDRs who establish high performance and are strong representatives of the Zip Recruiter Core Values will have potential for new challenges and career advancement within sales.
Responsibilities:- Make 60+ outbound phone calls each day
- Execute creative outbound prospecting within assigned accounts
- Conduct high-level conversations with mid and senior-level prospects, explaining the value proposition of Zip Recruiter
- Leverage sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Zoom Info, and Linked In Navigator to network with potential customers
- Achieve daily/weekly/monthly metrics (appointments, qualified leads, etc.)
- Gain business knowledge through researching how different industries operate, leadership structures, and pain points and challenges our clients face each day
- Collaborate with the Account Executive on qualified meetings
- Attend daily huddles to celebrate wins and goals
- 0‑2 years of experience in a sales or customer‑facing environment
- Demonstrable experience and proficiency in high‑pressure, competitive situations
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal; track record of giving successful presentations
- Think on your feet in conversation and answer unexpected questions with ease
- Empathy for customer struggles and challenges
- Intellectually curious
- Resilient in the face of objections and rejection
- Willingness and desire to work in a fast‑paced and high‑growth environment
- Passionate about sales and the sales process
- Highly organized and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Easily builds rapport and establishes relationships with prospects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills over the phone
- Willingness to try new concepts and open to coaching
- Confidence in using programs like Salesforce and Linked In
- Proficient with MS Office or Google Docs

The US base pay for this full‑time position is $21.64 per hour plus commission
