Pay and Commission

$15.25 to $18.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $3.37 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business.

They greet, engage, and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commissions based on productivity. The actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions effectively.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
• Partners with employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to perform duties for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work in multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview.
