** Position Summary/

Purpose:

** The purpose of this position is to handle campus card, cash, credit, and various other transactions for students, Sodexo employees, GCU Staff and visitors.

Accurately operate the cash register/POS and complete transactions.

Provide support to the retail operation which includes setup, maintaining supplies and products, and assisting in cleanup and closedown
** Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/

Essential Functions:

*** Operate a cash register
* Accurate ring of proper PLU for sale items and accurate barcode scan
* Provide the highest quality of customer service at all times.
* Maintain proper security of cash at all times
* Understand and follow Sodexo cash-handling policies and procedures
* Assist in locating, reconciling and verifying the accuracy of transactions
* Prepare for food service which could include wiping down counters, using a microwave, prepping veggies, and handling hot foods.
* Setup and stock the beverage coolers, grab n go items, service ware and condiments.
* Setup stations with entrees, soups, salads, breads, and any other food products
* Replenish all the above items as needed
* Clean, and sanitize all workstations, counters, tables and any other equipment
* Attend all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training
* Comply with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures
* Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
* Report all accidents or injuries in a timely manner
* Participate in regular in-store huddles
* Maintain inventory, stock and requisitions
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
** Equipment Used and Responsibility:
** Rolling Carts to transport items throughout the store and pick-up of Strictly to go Items Milk Crates, Storage Bins, and Coolers to transport food items

*** Willingness to provide excellent customer service.
* Strong Organizational skills and attention to detail
* Dependable and punctual
* Ability to maintain confidentiality but also be a team player
* Willingness to work hard, learn, and be very flexible
* Must be available to work all shifts but especially nights and weekends

Education:

* Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
* Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.

* You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
