Overview

We are currently looking for the right Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team!

$15.25 to $18.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $10.52 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations/satisfaction. This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.

Alongside the Store Manager, this position analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met. You will be required to commit to the company's asset protection program, promote our business, and target new customer acquisitions. All employees work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

This position offers an hourly wage, PLUS commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. The actual pay will depend on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Store Manager

  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and addressing customer issues promptly.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise and ensuring procedures protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and secure customer loans.
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
