Position Overview : Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently hiring a Head Pastry Chef. We are looking for highly motivated team players with a desire to learn and grow, who can help us build the brand, develop others, and deliver results. As Kneaders continues to grow rapidly, we offer numerous opportunities for those who excel and develop into outstanding performers.
Responsibilities :
- Manage a team of 2-4 pastry chefs in the daily production of 40+ pastries.
- Follow instructions, corporate guidelines, and recipes to meet exact standards.
- Thrive in a high-volume production environment with a strong sense of urgency.
- Multi-task effectively and perform well under stress.
- Professional cake decorating experience is beneficial but not required.
Qualifications :
- Pastry and baking experience is essential.
- Culinary school education is a plus but not mandatory.
- Quick hands and the ability to multi-task are crucial.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs above the waist.
- Attention to detail and adherence to corporate recipes and guidelines.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean working environment.
- Availability to work between 4 am and 2 pm, 5 days per week.
- Must work Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays, as these are peak times with no time off granted.
- Starting wage is $12+ / hr, depending on experience.
