The part-time-Lab Tech I-Materials /Chemical Engineering
is responsible for following established research protocols. You will have a crucial role in supporting research studies by performing a range of tasks related to running experiments, data collection, data analysis, and data reporting.

This is a flexible, part-time position, expected hours of at least 30 hours per week, with potential of more.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Assists in the conduct of research studies and/or following established protocols and standard operating procedures.

2. Conducts routine experiments and/or coordinates research study procedures in accordance with SOPs; receives, collects, and records study data in database;communicates and keeps researchers and/or PI up to date on any problems or concerns related to the research study or trial.

3. Follow laboratory safety protocol including annual training modules specific to your role.

4. Ensures proper documentation of experiments, regulatory documents, PI notes, and any other mandatory study-related documents and ensures quality and accuracy; archives documents for study per sponsor, government, and institutional requirements; keeps accurate records and provides necessary documents for regulatory audits.

5. Maintains and manages inventory and research study supplies.

6. Identify areas to improve research protocol and suggest solutions for implementation.

7. All other duties as assigned.

8. Assists in Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) fabrication.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

1. Laboratory study facilitation and data collection (80%)

2. Data analysis & reporting (20%)

3. All other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

Required:

Education: Complete college coursework in relevant STEM disciplines.

1. Previous laboratory experience.

2. Reliable transportation and vehicle insurance if required to drive for role.

3. Ability to work flexible hours.

5. High degree of professionalism.

Preferred:

6. Experience with the following equipment:
Probe Sonicator, Analytical Balance, Thin Coating Machine, Laboratory Oven, Laser Cutter, & Hot Press.
