QC Engineer – Field & Office; Construction

Position Overview

This role is responsible for on-site construction observation, troubleshooting, and quality control documentation. The position requires close coordination with site teams, vendors, and engineers to ensure all quality and technical issues are properly tracked and resolved.

• Spend approximately 50% of time on active construction sites, observing work progress and assisting with field troubleshooting.
• Spend approximately 50% of time in a trailer/office environment handling quality control documentation, including welding QC logs, RFIs, and technical issue tracking.
• Coordinate and follow up on quality and technical issues with site teams, vendors, and engineers until full resolution is achieved.
• Perform basic construction quality checks and verify work against drawings, specifications, and approved procedures.
• Maintain accurate and organized QC records, logs, and reports using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Prepare simple PowerPoint summaries for reporting and internal review as needed.

• Basic knowledge of construction environments, including drawings, specifications, and common trades.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in the field environment, including walking job sites, climbing stairs, and accessing active work areas.
• Engineering-related diploma or degree (civil, mechanical, industrial, or similar) is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is preferred, as the role may require coordination with bilingual or overseas teams.
