Position Summary:
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse provides specialized, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. This role involves managing complex medical conditions, operating advanced life-support equipment, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Duties:
- Provide direct, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, and neurological function.
- Administer IV medications, vasoactive drips, blood products, and other critical therapies as prescribed.
- Manage and monitor advanced life-support equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and infusion pumps.
Note: 2 years of RN - PICU Experience
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years
- Certifications: BLS AHA, PALS AHA, RN license, NRP
