Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Executive Director of Nursing (Ambulatory), the Advanced Clinical Nurse delivers high-quality, age-specific nursing care in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. This role provides comprehensive patient care while promoting safety, quality outcomes, and a positive patient experience within a diverse healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver professional, skilled nursing care across the lifespan
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and administer medications
- Identify nursing problems and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Provide or delegate care in accordance with Valley wise Health policies and standards
- Serve as a patient advocate and educator, supporting informed decision-making
- Complete and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
- Provide indirect supervision and guidance to ancillary staff as assigned
- Actively participate in team-based care, quality improvement initiatives, and performance excellence activities
- Demonstrate advanced clinical judgment and professional nursing behaviors
- Promote cost-effective, patient-centered, and meaningful healthcare delivery
- Contribute to the advancement of nursing practice through leadership, quality improvement, and professional development activities
- Support a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing clinical environment
Hourly Pay Rate: $35.52 - $52.39
Qualifications Education- Requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing.
- Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities, or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valley wise Health then must have at least one (1) year of Valley wise Health experience as a RN and be in good standing.
- Previous acute care hospital experience in the area he or she is applying for is preferred.
- Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, a temporary AZ RN license, or a valid compact RN licensure for the current state of practice.
- Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
- Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
- In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on the area of practice:
- Pre Op/PACU (Other than Peoria):
Must obtain ACLS and PALS within ninety (90) days of hire or transfer. Must obtain TCAR and PCAR within ninety (90) days of hire or transfer.
- Pre Op/PACU (Other than Peoria):
- Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
- Bilingual is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
- Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g., formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer successfully.
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
