As a Burn ICU Nurse under the leadership of the Nurse Manager or Executive DON – Ambulatory, you’ll deliver expert, age-appropriate care to critically ill patients with complex burn injuries. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, therapists, and support staff to provide compassionate, high-intensity care in one of the most challenging and rewarding environments in healthcare.

Your role goes beyond bedside care—you will lead patient assessments, administer medications with precision, develop and implement tailored care plans, and advocate fiercely for patient needs. With a strong focus on quality improvement and patient outcomes, you’ll also engage in continuous professional development, mentorship, and leadership initiatives that shape the future of one of the best burn units in the country.

Hourly Pay Rate: $34.15 - $50.37 Qualifications Education
  • Prefer a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing.
Experience
  • Must successfully complete the Valley wise Health New Graduate RN training program or have prior acute nursing experience demonstrating an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Previous acute care hospital experience in the area he or she is applying for is preferred.
Certification/Licensure
  • Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
  • Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
  • A BLS card must be obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
  • Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer. Must obtain PALS within six (6) months. Must obtain ABLS within one (1) year
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
  • Must have excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g., formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.

    Bilingual is preferred.
