School Nurse (LPN)

• Education, training, skills, and experience necessary to carry out the assignment, including experience maintaining accurate records
• Preferred experience with children and familiarity with procedures such as tracheotomy, diabetic care, gtube feeds, catheterizations
• Must have active AZ or compact LPN license in good standing
• Certification: CPR/BLS.
• Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP)

• 6-week contract during the 2025/2026 school year
• Contract follows the academic district calendar – 33 to 40 hours per week
• In-person only

• Administers first aid, medication and specialized medical treatment
• Assesses situations involving students’ safety, abuse, and other health related issues
• Collaborates with parents, students, health care providers, and/or other agencies
• Conducts programs and/or activities, e.g., health screening, etc.
• Develops and maintains health care plans, medical emergency cards, emergency care plans, records, e.g., mandated screening, chronic illness, etc.
• Implements school health care plans and emergency care plans
• Prepares a wide variety of written materials, e.g., quantity reports, student activities, correspondence, internal audits, etc.
• Provides staff training on a variety of health-related subjects, e.g., CPR, universal precautions, disaster preparedness, child abuse, health education, etc.
• Reports students with contagious diseases as mandated by local public health authorities
• Responds to emergency situations and/or evaluates need to activate local EMS

• $990.00 to $1,056.00/week
