Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager (or Executive Director of Nursing – Ambulatory), the Clinical Nurse delivers high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across the lifespan. Working collaboratively with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, this role plays a vital part in advancing safe, compassionate, and effective healthcare.
The Clinical Nurse is responsible for comprehensive patient care, including thorough assessments, medication administration, identification of clinical needs, and development and implementation of individualized plans of care. Care is provided or delegated in alignment with Valley wise Health policies and evidence-based practices.
In addition to direct patient care, the Clinical Nurse serves as a patient advocate and educator, ensuring patients and families are informed, supported, and empowered throughout their care journey. The role includes accurate and timely clinical documentation, indirect supervision of ancillary staff as assigned, and active participation in team collaboration, quality improvement initiatives, and performance excellence efforts.

Hourly Pay Rate: $51.00
Qualifications Education- Requires a Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing.
- Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valley wise Health, must have at least one year of Valley wise Health experience as a RN and be in good standing.
- Previous acute care hospital experience in the area for which he or she is applying for is preferred.
- Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, a temporary AZ RN license, or a valid compact RN licensure for the current state of practice.
- Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
- Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
- In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on the area of practice:
- Burn Clinic: Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer. Must obtain PALS within six (6) months. Must obtain ABLS within one (1) year.
- The ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
- Bilingual is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
- Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g., formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer successfully.
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
