Position OverviewBanner – University Medical Group is seeking a full‑time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Neurology‑Epilepsy team in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This APP will collaborate with epileptologists, neurosurgeons, and a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive epilepsy care, including managing patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and outpatient clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct neurological exams, evaluate seizure disorders, and develop treatment plans.
- Manage inpatient EMU admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning.
- Provide outpatient follow‑up care, medication management, and patient education.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and assist in coordinating advanced epilepsy treatments.
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Graduate of an accredited NP program with national certification.
- Eligible for Arizona licensure with prescriptive authority and DEA registration.
- BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
- Experience in neurology, epilepsy, or EEG interpretation.
- Knowledge of advanced epilepsy treatments (EMU, neuromodulation, epilepsy surgery).
