Clinical Nurse - Radiology

Position Summary

Phoenix Children’s has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our Radiology Unit! This is a full-time, day shift role (3/12s) where you’ll gain exposure to cutting‑edge radiology techniques and equipment, including X‑Ray, PET/CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine. In this role, you will monitor patients – some of whom may be partially or fully sedated – throughout their radiology procedures to ensure safe, high‑quality care.

• Full‑time, day shift (3/12s)
• Call:
  One weekday per week
• Rotating weekend call: approximately every 4‑6 weeks

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ED, ICU, or PACU
• Strong interest in radiology nursing
• Not accepting new graduates at this time

This position works in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient and family to promote patient health through delivery of professional nursing care appropriate to patients age and condition as documented in the nursing and medical plans of care in accordance with evidence‑based nursing and patient care practice standards and hospital goals, values and regulatory standards.

• Two‑year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four‑year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)

• Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association prior to start date. (Required)
