Registered Nurse – RN Cath Lab Weekends

Banner Health – Estrella Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support the Cardiac Cath Lab during weekend shifts. The role involves circulating and monitoring lab cases, assisting with interventional cardiology and radiology procedures, and performing a range of supportive nursing tasks across the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Circulate and monitor cath lab cases, providing direct patient care and coordination of procedures.
  • Assist with electrophysiology studies, TEE’s, cardiac and non‑cardiac pacemaker/ICD insertions, and nephrostomy tube placements.
  • Execute line placements and removals, feeding tube placements, port cath placements, embolization, and fistulograms.
  • Support structural heart interventions during training, including any procedure unfamiliar to the RN.
  • Perform customary nursing duties for medical imaging and interventional departments.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid RN license in Arizona; BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of cath lab or interventional radiology nursing experience.
  • Experience with interventional procedures and catheter-based interventions.
  • Strong knowledge of patient assessment, nursing plan development, and evidence‑based practice.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Additional certifications or education related to interventional cardiology or radiology.
  • Experience in a high‑volume cath lab setting.
Schedule & Compensation

Weekend shift:
Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 am – 7:30 pm with one weekend call per month. 30% weekend differential applied. Orientation and training for the first 3 weeks: 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday.
