Medical Consultation to Behavioral Health.

A full-time opportunity exists for a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide medical consultation and as needed, follow up medical care in the DMG Division of Medicine at Valley wise Health Psychiatry Hospital in Maryvale, Arizona.

The ideal candidate is someone with a strong interest in providing medical consultation and follow medical care for patients with a serious mental illness in collaboration with the behavioral health teams at this site (psychiatric care is provided by a team of psychiatrists and other behavioral health professionals). There is a board certified DMG internist that serves as medical director to the group.

Work hours are Monday through Friday 8 – 4:30pm and second night-shift Monday through Thursday, 6pm – 4am. Along with opportunities to work additional hours for extra pay on weekends or holidays.

Employment would be through District Medical Group Inc. (DMG), a multi-specialty group with 450+ providers exclusively contracted to provide patient care and teaching at Valley wise Health Medical Center (VWMC).

Candidate must have an Arizona NP or PA license, outstanding interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic. Previous clinical experience preferred.
